THE BIBLE
We believe that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the Inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; Isa. 55:11; Rev. 3:7; Rev. 21:5)
GOD
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1; Deut. 4:35; Mt. 5:45; Mt. 28:19; Mark 1:10-11; John 1:1-2, 14)
JESUS
We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Mt.1:18, Mt. 28:1-10, 18; Luke 1:26-35; John 20:17; Rom. 5:12-21; Phil. 2:6-11, Heb. 4:14-16; Heb. 9:11-15)
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord, Jesus Christ and, during this age, convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for Godly living and service. (John 6:63; John 16:7-15; Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:45, 19:2-6; Titus 3:5-6)
We believe in the baptism or infilling with the Holy Spirit with accompanying signs. (Acts 1:5, 4:31, 8:14-17, 9:17, 10:44-45, 19:4-6)
MAN AND SALVATION
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost. It is only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit that salvation and spiritual life can be obtained. (Gen. 1:27; Gen. 3:1-24; John 3:5; 2 Cor. 5:17)
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God. (John 3:16; John 14:6; Rom. 5:8-15; Rom. 10:9-10; Heb. 9:12; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
WATER BAPTISM & COMMUNION
We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation. (Mt. 28:18-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-26; 1 Pet. 3:20-22)
THE CHURCH
We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. (Eph. 1:22-23; I Cor. 12:12-13, 27)
We believe that only those who are members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church. (1 Cor.12:12-13, 27; Eph. 4:15-16)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, and that every local church has the right under Christ to decide and to govern its own affairs. (Acts 14:23; Tit. 1:5-9; 1 Tim. 3:1-12; Eph. 1:22-23)
SECOND COMING
We believe in the personal premillennial and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that His “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (Mt. 24:42; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thess. 5:23; James 5:7)
ETERNITY
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. (Mt. 25:41, 46; John 3:36; John 10:28)
MARRIAGE
We believe that marriage is an institution under God and between only one man and one woman. (Gen. 2:24; Mt. 19:4-5)
